Varsity Boys Advance to 2nd Round of the State Playoffs

The Parkview High School Varsity Boys Soccer Team advanced to the 2nd round of the State Playoffs with a 1st round victory over the defending state champion Harrison Hoyas.   The panthers got off to a quick start with a goal from Dillon Bennet (#16) only 20 seconds into the match.    Parkview’s lead was extended to 2-0 when Carlos Garcia (#8) converted a penalty kick in the tenth minute.   A late first half goal by John Charlton (#9) made it 3-0 at half time.  The Hoyas pressed hard in the second half, but the Panthers were able to weather the storm and bring home the 3-0 victory.  Parkview’s 2nd round match will be away versus Pebblebrook High School on April 18th at 7pm.
